Christmas Morning:
we open stockings first, of course, but presents under the tree wait.
they got civil war muskets. here is their recreation of the battle of fredericksburg. the cushions are the sunken wall, and they are standing on the hill. in their knight hats. |
The Divine Messiah is HERE! He has come, and will come again! |
After stockings, we ate breakfast, fed animals, and went to Mass.
Then, and only then, did we do the "big" presents: One at a time,
and everyone knows what everyone else got.
We took time to explore each new gift.
It was amazing.
I'm so thankful to my parents for instilling in us a sense of waiting and calm
on Christmas morning.
