Home, part I

so our camera was broken, and then our house was messy, and also it isn't one of my first priorities. but i have a couple of minutes this morning, so here you all are:

here's the boys' room. i love that they share a room. they like it, too. this is finn's corner. we were given this awesome toddler bed, which is bigger than his old one and more of a "big kid" bed. he likes it a lot.

he has started to look at books if he doesn't fall asleep straight away.
for some reason this makes him seem very grown up.
this is alex's corner. he has finn's old bed and his dresser is the changing table, which we no longer use for changing as we really needed a place for their stuffed animals. the name trains are from grandma and grandpa, and they are super cute.

i don't know why alex doesn't pull all his clothes out. finn didn't, either.
for some reason it seems to give them a good sense of order, and they
like to be able to pick our their clothes easily.
here is the "sleeping corner". they've started to rock to sleep together most nights, and sometimes even for naps. it's awesome. and sometimes i will sit there with my two sleeping boys and revel. because they're sleeping, and because they're little, and so, so sweet.

it was hard to get finn all the way in or out.
the trunk is their (massive) train collection.
this is their closet, which is oddly huge and makes an awesome play space.
i bet you thought their room was so clean . . . HAHAHA
Top of the stairs. book nook. rocking chair. cute boys.

yes, the curtain is off center. yes, it's probably a quarter of some other larger piece of linen. maybe it doesn't make much sense. but you know what? I LIKE IT.

top of stairs. part of the original part of the house.

a few stairs from the top, looking at the front door. another one of the original gas fixtures.

from the stairs looking into the "great room" or main room or whatever of the original part of the house. i'm pretty sure that door way was raised; same with the front doors. because the other two original doors are at least a foot shorter.

so that's all for now. more later. have a nice day. come visit soon. xoxox
