friday with a vengeance: phones ringing off the hook, copier jamming and throwing tantrums, addict patients waiting until the day before their meds run out to call for an appointment.
weekend was excellent: ended up playing soccer, which i do not do, barefoot & in a skirt. the ball was kicked up said skirt at one point, which was awkward. then i completely body-checked this guy. wiped his feet right out from underneath him; very un-ladylike of me. i tend to get a bit competitive ...
made up a train song for my nephew. it's the only thing he will let me sing; otherwise i take out my guitar and he opens the case saying, "all done, jemay! pu-nin-in-in-nare!" (put it in there). ah, humility in grand doses. he will also let me sing the swing-swing song if we're swinging. i will miss him in dallas, a lot. he's my buddy.

Sounds like a pleasent weekend. I wouldn't say that it was unladylike of you to trip the young man -- more that it was very ungentlemanly of him to be so clumsy (you were wearing a skirt while playing soccer after all). I knew there was a reason why men stopped wearing togas . . .
Well, at least your nephew doesn't scream and cry and frantically try to cover my mouth like my niece does whenever I sing.
"Now that I've worn out, I've worn out the world, I'm on my knees in fascination, looking through the night. But the moons never seen me before, and I'm reflecting light."
~Sam Philips. Cool song, though currently completely irrelelvant to my life.:)
